WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF CYBERGRIM, FREELANCER.
Cybergrim is a Tabletop Role-Playing game[TTRPG] set in a grim universe that blends cyberpunk with space opera and Cthulhu-esque cosmic horror with space bug slaying.
You will roleplay as a low-life combatant personnel, trying to get by in these dire times. You are one of the few who have the tools and abilities to be a freelancer. Freelancers are hired by the government, companies, and individuals to solve problems, slay alien bugs, and horrific monsters coming from outer space.
Earth in Cybergrim is set two centuries later, after the ice age suddenly covered the Earth. Through many turmoils, humankind gathered together and expanded into space.
They've found a hidden inactive warpgate. During activation, a massive force of Xenos invaded our solar system. This led to what's called the Nova War, an interstellar war that engulfed the solar system in flames.
Decades later, Humanity got the upper hand and started to push Xenos away. But with the war, everything changed. The quality of life for most of the population became so low.
To live a decent life, some people become freelancers, risking their lives for survival, wealth, glory, love, or just being adventurous.
